How to set up your Full Yona bed

Our Full bed is super simple to set up. It’ll be a piece of cake!

  • Your Full bed comes in two halves
  • You don’t need to connect these halves at all. They sit side-by-side, and don’t physically connect with each other - don’t worry, once the mattress is on, they won’t move.
  • Each half may look very wide coming out of the box, but as you stretch it out, it will get narrower!

Step 1

Take one piece of your bed out of the box, and lie it along the head of the bed.

Grab the cardboard that’s closest to you, and stretch it out

You should stretch it out as far as you can

If you have a partner with you, they can hold the end of the bed that’s on the wall as you pull it out, so you can stretch it out without moving the bed off the wall as seen here.

Having trouble getting it to stay still? Does it keep springing back?
Push through 💪🏽 The next couple of steps help to keep it stretched out.

Step 2

Now connect the flaps on both sides of this piece

You will need to first push the flaps inwards, towards the bed, and then slot them together. You can see this process in the video above.

Instead of just forcing the tabs, you should be slightly tilting the flaps in opposite directions so they overlap, and gently insert the tabs in the corresponding slots. This will keep the tabs secure.

Once completed, the interconnected flaps should look like this:

Step 3

Grab the second cardboard piece from the box and lie it next to the first, then stretch it out!

Remember, you should stretch it out as far as it can go, or until it’s as long as your Full mattress (that’s 74in).

If you have a partner with you, they can hold the end of the bed that’s on the wall as you pull it out, so you can stretch it out without moving the bed off the wall as seen here.

Step 4

Now connect the flaps on both sides of the left piece

You will need to first push the flaps inwards, towards the bed, and then slot them together. You can see this process in the video above.

If you need more room, feel free to put the completed half on its side as shown in the video above.

Instead of just forcing the tabs, you should be slightly tilting the flaps in opposite directions so they overlap, and gently insert the tabs in the corresponding slots. This will keep the tabs secure.

Still having trouble getting it to stay still? Does it keep springing back?
After being cooped up in a box, our pieces might need some time to stretch out. Put each half on its side as shown in the video above and leave it for 5-10 minutes before giving it another go.

Step 5

Now you need to push the two halves together, so they’re just about touching one another (but not overlapping).

You may need to do some minor adjusting to get the bed to the right length and width.

If any flaps between the two halves come apart in the process of putting them together, that's okay, as it won't affect the strength or durability of the bed!

Step 6

(Gently) place your mattress on top of the bed! This step is usually easier with a partner, depending on how heavy your mattress is.

Do some final adjusting, tucking in the bed if it’s sticking out.
